This Sonata for Flute and Concert Harp in E was composed in a feverish burst of inspiration in January 2019. The sonata represents my first essay in sonata-allegro form incorporating the extended tonality of jazz and modal harmony in modern music. I spent years studying music of the classical and galant style especially the sonatas of Haydn, Mozart and their contemporaries. The work is also heavily informed by my continued study and practice of folk music from Eastern Europe and Fennoscandia.

The music was scored using Finale. Midi sequence was realized through synthesized instruments. I aim to provide an acoustic recording of this music in the future.
